Monica began her nursing career in 2001 after earning her Associate Degree in Nursing from the University of West Alabama. She started as a registered nurse, gaining valuable experience working in both the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and the Emergency Department (ER).
Committed to advancing her education and expertise, Monica earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2003, followed by her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2013.
For the past 13 years, Monica has practiced as a board-certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, caring for children in primary care, pediatric emergency departments, and pediatric urgent care settings. She is passionate about providing compassionate, evidence-based care and partnering with families to help children achieve their best health.
Outside of work, Monica enjoys spending quality time with her husband and their two children. She also enjoys reading and visiting with family. She looks forward to getting to know your family and being a trusted partner in your child’s healthcare journey.
