I am a board-certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with more than 14 years of experience caring for children and their families. I was born and raised in the Houston area and have called Spring, Texas home for most of my life. I began my nursing career in 2011 and went on to earn my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas Medical Branch, my Master of Science in Nursing from Houston Baptist University, and my Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Texas at Arlington. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to care for children in a variety of settings, including Texas Children’s Hospital, where I worked in the Gastroenterology and Nutrition clinic.
I knew early in my nursing career that I wanted to work in pediatrics because I wanted to advocate for children and give a voice to those who may not always be able to speak for themselves. My philosophy is centered around caring for the whole child—not simply treating a symptom or illness. I believe in listening to both children and their parents, taking the time to understand each family’s unique concerns, and partnering with parents to help their children grow and thrive. My goal is for every family I care for to feel heard, respected, informed, and confident in their child’s care.
Outside of caring for my patients, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our two children, staying active, and singing. I also enjoy giving back to my community and supporting causes that are meaningful to me, particularly those involving children and families. As both a pediatric provider and a mother, I understand how important it is to have someone you trust caring for your child. I feel incredibly fortunate to do what I love every day, and I look forward to getting to know your family and being part of your child’s healthcare journey.
