Urgent Care for Kids, soon to be the largest pediatric urgent care provider in Texas, provides after-hours medical care for children, from infancy to 21 years of age. Urgent Care for Kids – Katy opened in August of 2013, and is conveniently located on Westheimer Parkway next to the Super Target.
The clinic believes that children – and their parents – have unique needs that are not always satisfied by long hours in emergency rooms or adult urgent care centers.
“Our goal is to help families avoid the high costs of ER visits for urgent needs that are not life or limb threatening and ensure that their children are treated by providers specializing in pediatrics,” said Brian White, CEO of Urgent Care for Kids.
Urgent Care for Kids’ clinics are staffed with board certified pediatricians and pediatric nurse practitioners. The providers and staff at Urgent Care for Kids offer a full range of on-site diagnostics and medical treatments including flu, strep, RSV, and mono testing, urinalysis and bacterial cultures, asthma related issues, conjunctivitis, ear infections, foreign object removals, minor burns, laceration repairs, digital x-rays, and more. Clinic staff also collaborate with local pediatricians, faxing patient information directly to the primary care physician in order to coordinate any necessary follow-up care.
