Over the past few weeks we have shared with you several of our full-time providers here at Urgent Care for Kids in our Provider Spotlight series. We hope you got a chance to learn more about the people caring for your children, and that you are encouraged to return to Urgent Care for Kids in the future.
Today, we would like to share with you a few of the qualifications we take into consideration when hiring new providers in any of our nine clinics. We believe that outstanding providers are a key component to providing excellent care, and that our highly-qualified providers are part of what sets us apart as a pediatric urgent care network. As you have seen the past few weeks, many of our providers have set the bar high with their prestigious credentials, unique experiences, and warm and welcoming personalities. These are all providers we would be pleased to have caring for our own children, as well as all of the little ones who walk through the doors of our clinics.
Here are just a few of the requirements all our providers must have before joining the Urgent Care for Kids team:
1. Educational and licensure components:
We require all of our providers, whether MD’s or CNP’s to have a medical degree from an accredited university. We also require an eligible board certification in General Pediatrics. We believe that the people taking care of your kids should not only want to treat children, but be incredibly knowledgeable in that field. Additionally, we require all of our providers to have knowledge of state and federal regulations, maintain up-to-date state and federal license requirements, and maintain current PALS certification.
2. Professional component:
We require each of our providers to maintain a professional appearance and professional conduct within the clinics. While we like to have fun at Urgent Care for Kids, we understand that our little patients are a big deal, and we believe that it is of the utmost importance to take their healthcare very seriously. We also like for our providers to have the ability to supervise, train, and evaluate new and current provider staff, because it’s very important to maintain our team-centered culture in every clinic.
Each one of our providers must go through an extensive interview process with our HR Director, President, and Medical Director to ensure not only that they meet the standards, but also to ensure that they are a great fit for the Urgent Care for Kids team.
