Jade Makarenko is a board-certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner who is dedicated to caring for both the primary and urgent needs of children of all ages. She discovered her passion for pediatrics early in nursing school and has followed that path throughout her entire nursing career. She graduated with her master's degree in nursing from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. She has spent the better part of her career in the urgent care setting, school-based health, and primary care, having also spent four years practicing Pediatric Gastroenterology at Baylor College of Medicine.
Her approach to care is compassionate and committed to patient-centered care, collaboration with other healthcare professionals, and a focus on comprehensive care models to address the diverse needs of her patients. Her professional interests include adolescent medicine, gynecology, and dermatology.
She has lived in the Katy area for 16 years and is a native Louisianian. As a mother of two adult sons and a teenage daughter, Jade understands how busy life can get as well as the challenges parents can face, especially during times of illness. This perspective has shaped her calm, approachable style and helps her foster a partnership with parents in order to deliver consistent, high-quality pediatric care in a warm and welcoming environment.
