April showers bring May flowers, and we’re experiencing those showers today in Texas! Rainy days are a great time to gather your little ones and get crafty since playing outside isn’t an option. We’ve put together a list of rainy day-themed crafts to make the most of the wet weather!
1. Watercolor Rainbows
Have your child paint a rainbow with watercolors to hang on the fridge! Once the rain stops, head outside to find the real rainbow!
2. Rain Cloud in a Jar
For older kids or budding scientists, this educational activity is perfect for a rainy afternoon! Learn how to demonstrate the water cycle at your dining room table on Coffee Cups and Crayons.
3. Paper Umbrellas
Get creative and make umbrellas for dolls and stuffed animals! For the umbrella, you can use colorful muffin tin liners or plain coffee filters and have your kids decorate them. For the handle, use pipe cleaners, bendy straws, or even popsicle sticks!
4. Tissue Paper Suncatchers
With just some wax paper, glue, and tissue paper squares, make a raindrop suncatcher to hang on the window! Check out the instructions for this craft on The Gold Jellybean.
